The Base Model configuration allows app developers to create fields that are common across case types. All case types within the application can inherit these base fields to create case type-level fields. Please see the Case Type Data Model section of this manual for more details on repeating and non-repeating fields for a data model.
From the App Designer (Settings > Applications > App Designer), click the Base Model option (under General Features) to open the configuration. The Configure fields for Application screen is shown below:

Ref | Option | Description |
A | Add Group | Creates a repeating field group |
B | Add Field | Creates a field. During creation, youāll determine whether you are creating a non-repeating field or a repeating field. Please refer to the sections 2.1.2.1.1: Create a Non-Repeating Field, and 2.1.2.1.2: Create a Repeating Field Group |
C | Edit | Edit the selected field. You can change the display name for the field/group, as well as enable or disable the Search Enabled function. |
D | Copy | Creates a copy of the field. A window pops up where you can make changes to the new copy before it is created. |
E | Delete | Deletes the selected field or group. |
F | Non-Repeating Fields | All non-repeating fields are listed here. There is also the option to search non-repeating fields. Please refer to the App Wizard section of this manual for more details on Non-repeating Fields. |
G | Repeating Fields | All repeating fields are listed here. There is also the option to search repeating fields. Please refer to the App Wizard section of this manual for more details on Repeating Fields. |
