The App Designer allows App Developers to build and configure applications on the eCASE platform. In eCASE, new applications are created through the App Wizard. Please refer to the App Wizard section for more details on how the App Wizard works. Once an App is created through App Wizard, it can be further enhanced and expanded through the App Designer.
In eCASE, an App is composed of one or more case types. A case type represents a working object in the business process, and the case type captures the data/documents, user interface and process flow related to this business process. With the App Designer, App developers can configure all Application settings as well as the Application’s look and feel. App developers can also build Case Type data models, user interfaces, process flows, business logic, and application reports. All Application settings and Case Type settings are configured through the App Designer.
The eCASE App Designer includes the following design tools for building your application:
Data Modeler: Creates App Base models, Case Type Data models or Contact Type Data models. Please refer to the Base Model and Data Model section of this manual for more details on Data Modeler.
UI Designer: Creates UI forms for Case Type, Attachment Properties forms, App forms, Portal forms for eCASE Portal and Offline forms for eCASE Remote Client. Please review the UI Designer section of this manual for more details on UI Designer
Workflow Designer: Creates workflow processes for the Case and Case Items. Please refer to the Workflow Designer section of this manual for more details.
Procedure Designer: Creates business procedures to incorporate required business logic into application. Please refer to the Procedure Designer section of this manual for more details.
