About the App Wizard
The App Wizard is new for eCASE 10.6, and allows users to quickly create an application framework. The App Wizard is a four step process, capturing the required details to create a basic eCASE application.
Application creation is initiated using the App Wizard. The wizard captures basic information like the Application Name, information on the first Case Type, the outline for the Case Type Data Model, and provisions access to at least one user. Using the wizard, the application is created based on your inputs.
At the end of the App Wizard, you’ll have an accessible application where you can initiate a new case with a unique case form UI using fields you configured in your Case Type Data Model.
Opening the App Wizard
To open the App Wizard and create a basic application:
1. Log in to eCASE Administration (click the Settings link from eCASE)
2. Under Application Management, click Applications.
3. The Applications list appears. Click New to open the App Wizard.
4. The landing screen for the App Wizard appears as shown below:

To the left is the (A) navigation, which lists the steps and displays your progress through the Wizard; you can click any of the previous steps to return and edit the information.
As you complete each step in the Wizard, click (B) Next to continue onto the next step. You can also click (C) Back to Applications to exit the Wizard at any time.
