Application Features can be configured by enabling or disabling specific features within the application.

Steps to Configure Application Features

  1. Click Administration > Features and Licenses > Application Features. The Application Features screen displays as shown below.

NOTE: The options on this screen will differ depending if you are using ATIPXpress Provincial or Federal

  1. Select or de-select to enable or disable the Application Features described below.

Feature

Description

Add to Reading Room

Activates a prompt when closing a Request, asking if you want to add the documents in the Request Folder to the PAL Reading Room.

Add/Remove Documents to Request Folder

Activates the ability to add or remove documents to/from the Request Folder.

Add/Remove Documents to Review Log

Activates the ability to add or remove documents to/from the Review Log.

Advanced Workflow

Enable Advanced Workflow capabilities

ADX

Activates the ability to import ADX files, attach empty ADX files to requests for documents, import ADX files from requests for documents, attach ADX files when sending documents for consultation review, import ADX files from the Consultation Review Log, import ADX files from RedactXpress, and save documents as an ADX file in Document Management.

Application Fee

Enable the ability to apply an Application Fee that must be paid before request processing can take place

Barcode

Activates the Barcode feature that allows users to print a barcode from Document Management to facilitate batch scanning.

Collaboration

Activate the Collaboration module

Copy Request

Activates the Copy Request feature found on the More Actions menu for each Request. This feature allows a duplicate copy of a Request to be created and saved with a new Request number.

Corrections

Enables to ability to use Corrections

Create Complaint

Activates the ability to create Appeals

Custom Fields

Activates the ability to use Custom Fields throughout the application.

Declassification

Activates additional declassification attribute tracking in Document Management for Folder and Review Layer Information, such as Document Control Number, Accession Number, Future Review Date, Review Type, and Release Restrictions.

Dispositions

Activates the ability to use Dispositions

EDR Document Clustering

Activate the EDR Clustering ability in Electronic Document Review

eFlow Composer

Activate the eFlow Composer tool, for use in generating custom workflows

Electronic Document Review (EDR)

Activates the Electronic Document Review module. This feature is active only if EDR licenses are purchased.  Once this feature is activated, the purchased licenses can be associated with individual users.

Extensions

Activates the ability to track and manage Extension requests, approvals, and reasons for Extension.

Global Address List

Provides access to the Global Address List when sending emails.

Link Requests

Activates the ability to link Requests.

Lock/Unlock Review Layer

Activates the Permission in File Cabinet Drawer Roles to lock/unlock Review Layers.

Mass Assignment

Allows users to perform assignments for multiple Requests at once.

Method of Access

Activate Method of Access options

Move/Copy Folder

Activates the File Cabinet Drawer Permission to move/copy a Folder in Document Management.

Multi-Track Type

Activates the option in Request Configuration to choose single or multi-track (Simple, Complex, or Expedite) processing.

Perfect Request

Activates the Perfect Request action in the Request workflow.

Reason for Delay

Activates the ability to select a Reason for Delay

Record Search Processing Costs

Activates the ability to track Record Search Processing Costs, which can be accessed from the More Actions menu for each Request.

Redaction Artificial Intelligence

Activate the AI Redaction feature, leveraging the organizational redaction history to build smart redaction profiles

Reminders Management

Activates the ability to create/manage Task Reminder.

Request Addresses

Activates the ability to track/update the Requester shipping and billing addresses for the specific Request you are working with in the Request Information tab of the Request. Otherwise the system defaults to the Requester profile for address information.

Request Complexities

Request for Documents

Activates the Request for Documents module, providing the ability to track requests for documents from non-licensed users.

Request Owner

Activates the tracking of a Request Owner for each Request.

Response Package Approval

Activates the Permission for designated users/roles to provide approval on a final response (Final Response Letter, Invoice, and Responsive Documents) prior to allowing delivery of the final response.

Restrict Description

Activates the ability to replace the Request Description with the word “Restricted” in all reports generated from the system.

Review Templates

Activates the ability to create and apply Review Templates in Document Management.

RFD Records Provider

Enables application functionality as a designated Request for Documents Records Provider

S2S Integration

Enables system-to-system integration, allowing administrators to set up connection between two instances of ATIPXpress in order to collaborate without compromising document security.

Scan Pages

Activates the ability to scan into the application using the built-in scan interface.

Secondary Assignments

Activates the ability to assign a secondary user to Requests.

Section 69

Allows two users to work each other's Special Task at the same time

Send/Save Consultations

Activates the Consultation module in Request for Documents that facilitates the ability to send and track consultations.

Staff Processing Costs

Activates the ability to track Staff Processing Costs, which can be accessed from the More Actions menu for each Request.

Sub Requests

Activates the ability to break down a request for multiple records and track the disposition of each item individually while providing a single disposition for reporting purposes.

TimeXpress

Activate the TimeXpress time-tracking module

Transfer Request

Activates the Transfer Request feature in the application.  Once activated, the ability to configure the system to Transfer or Transfer and Close a Request is available.

Translations

Activates the ability to translate text in the application.

NOTE: This feature will not be available in hosted environments. When the Barcode feature is enabled, a Print Barcode option displays in any location where Scan and Attach File options are also present.

  1. Click Save. A confirmation message displays as shown below.

  2. Click OK.

NOTE: Select or de-select the Select All checkbox to enable or disable all Application Features. To activate the Electronic Document Review (EDR) feature, you must upgrade the license file.
