The Action Office assigned to a Request can be changed by reassigning the Request to another Action Office.
NOTE: The Request's Action Office cannot be changed when the Request Status is Closed, On Hold-Fee Related, On Hold-Need Info/Clarification, or On Hold-Other.
There are two ways to change a Request's Action Office: via the More Actions Menu, and from the Request Information Screen. Each process is outlined in the following subsections.
Change Action Office from More Actions Menu
Open the Request for which you want to change the Action Office.
Click More Actions. The More Actions screen displays as shown below.

Click Change Action Office. The Change Action Office screen displays as shown below.

Enter information in the fields described below as needed.
Field | Description |
New Action Office | The new Action Office for the Request to be assigned to. |
Comments | Comments about the Action Office change. |
Generate New Request Number | A new Request number will be generated for the Request after the Action Office has been changed. This option will only be available if the Enable 'Generate New Request Number' Option in Change Action Office Screen checkbox is selected under Administration > System Configuration > Request Configuration. |
Send Email to Primary User | An email will be sent to the primary user, notifying them of the Action Office change. |
Assign Request | The Assign Request screen will automatically open after clicking Save. |
Click Save. A verification message displays.
Click OK. The Action Office will be changed.
Change Action Office from Request Information Screen
Users have the option to change a request's Action Office from the Request Information screen. Follow the steps below to change the Action Office from the Request Information screen.
Open a Request and navigate to the Request Information screen, as shown below:

Next to the Action Office field, select the Ellipse button.
After selecting the Ellipsis menu, the Change Action Office window appears, as shown below:

Follow the steps as outlined in the previous section, starting at step 4.
After clicking Save, the action office will update and the Request Information screen refreshes to show the change.
