Create a New App Role

To add a new app role to the application:

  1. Open the App Role configuration (Administration > Applications > App Designer > App Roles).

  2. Click New to add a new App Role. The Create Role screen appears:

  1. First, determine the Scope for the App Role by selecting from the dropdown list. These are described in detail in the App Role Scopes section.

NOTE: The Scope cannot be changed after saving the App Role

  1. Enter a Name for the role. The Internal Name field fills in automatically.

  2. Add a Description for the role.

  3. Make other selections if applicable, depending on the scope.

  4. When all required fields are filled in, click Save to save the new App Role.

  5. The App Roles screen refreshes and the newly-created role is available in the list for further action.
