Adding Registry Values for eCASE Upgrades

This document outlines the process for manually adding registry values in eCASE using Regedit.exe. The correct registry values must be present to upgrade to eCASE 11.2.0. Some customers may already have these registry values in their environment, while others will need to input the appropriate values and value data.

The steps in this document should be undertaken by a System Administrator, Network Engineer, or your organization’s IT Department.

The steps below outline the process for viewing and, if necessary, manually inputting registry values in your eCASE environment:

  • Open Regedit.exe:

  • Navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Features\3079D6522DDCB154 1B9F9E2910894CB7.

  • Check whether the values in the following table are present in this file path:

  • If any of these values are not present, add them manually by right clicking in the white space of right pane and clicking New > String Value:

  • Enter a name in the Value name field (e.g., ā€œECASEā€), then hit Enter.  

  • The added value appears in the Registry Editor. Double click the added value and add the appropriate value in the Value data field. (e.g., ā€œeCase_Installationā€)

  • Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all missing values are present.
