1 Product Enhancements

1.1 Universal Dashboard for Audit + Investigations

With this enhancement, Audit and Investigation data is now unified into a single dashboard, allowing users to access both functionalities without switching between applications.

Select App Roles from the General section.

Select Audit Executives And Leaders, and then select Dashboard.

Select the Audit Executives And Leaders Dashboard layout name and then select Design.

Select Current Mode as Catalog from the drop-down menu, and the list of Available Web Parts will be displayed. Select the checkboxes to design the dashboard.

Scroll down to view the designed dashboard.

The Collaboration Dashboard widget will only show data from the application you are logged into, excluding other widgets.

1.2 Automate Deduplication and Deconfliction during Intake

eCase application now supports automated duplicate detection to streamline administrative workflows and prevent the creation of redundant case folders. Administrators can enable duplicate and near-duplicate checks at both the application and case-type levels.

Up to five fields can be configured per case type, with a minimum of one field required to activate duplicate detection. If the combined number of inherited fields and case-type-specific fields exceed this limit, additional selections cannot be configured.

Duplicate search configuration begins at the application level, and all case types inherit this configuration by default. When the same fields are enabled across multiple case types, the system performs duplicate checks at the application level. The resulting match details include the fixed folder number and the fields defined for comparison.

1.3 Utilize Wildcards in Search Criteria

A new Utilize Wildcards in Search Criteria setting has been added to the General Settings, allowing organizations to control how contact searches interpret user inputs.

When this option is disabled, the system treats all entered characters as plain text. Search operators such as Contains, Starts With, and Ends With perform literal matching without recognizing wildcard symbols.

When the option is enabled, the system interprets wildcard symbols as part of the search logic.

  • Starts With supports patterns that end with *

  • Ends With supports patterns that begin with *

  • Contains matches text anywhere in the field and fully honors wildcard expressions

This enhancement provides flexible, pattern-based search capability while still allowing organizations to enforce strict literal matching when required.

1.4  Multi-Factor SAML Authentication Support for NoPIV

When eCase is configured with SAML Authentication but PIV is not enabled, users can access the system through <domain>/eCase/NoPiv.aspx, which redirects to the standard form-based authentication page.

A new No-PIV Configuration section in SAML settings allows administrators to enable twofactor authentication for these scenarios. Selecting the Two-Factor Authentication option enables secondary verification, and administrators can choose OTP via Email as the verification mode.

An additional configuration, Allowed Verification Fails, allows administrators to define the number of unsuccessful attempts permitted before access is restricted, ensuring stronger account protection.

1.5 Universal Search Across eCASE COTS Applications

A new cross-application search capability has been introduced, allowing users to search across multiple eCASE COTS solutions from a centralized interface. The Cross-

Application Search Report is now available under the Reports section, providing visibility into records across applications such as Audit and Investigations.

Search results only include applications and cases to which the user has access; restricted items do not appear in the results. Users can export the report in multiple formats, including PDF, Excel, Word, and HTML, enabling flexible reuse and analysis.
