Modify Expiration Date

While retention policies applied to each Request Type determine how long a request will remain active prior to expiring, this expiration date can be edited by Administrators or users with Retention permissions.

Expiration dates can only be updated under the following conditions:

The request is in Closed status

The logged-in user owns the request

The logged-in user has Retention permissions

If all of the above conditions are met, the Modify Expiration Date option will be available under the More Actions tab for any matching request(s). Follow the steps below to edit an expiration date for a request

From a Request folder, click More Actions on the left-hand side.

From the More Actions screen, click Modify Expiration Date

The Amend Expiry Date screen appears. From here, select a New Retention Expiry Date and enter Comments (required), then click Save.

After clicking Save, the expiration date will automatically update in the system
