About Repeating Field Groups

A repeating field group contains one or more fields and allows users to enter multiple sets of grouped data into a case folder. For example, if you wanted to capture important dates for an employee, like their hire date or birthday. The Case Type captures important dates, and the end user can elect to add as many important dates to the form as they need to by using repeating field groups.

The sample below shows how a repeating field group appears on an actual case form.

This sample form is capturing significant dates for an Employee (captured using a non-repeating field at the top of the form). Each employee can have multiple significant dates, so these are captured using the (A) Important Dates repeating group. Each group has fields to capture the Date and Significance of Date. More dates can be added by clicking (B) Insert, which inserts additional Important Dates field groups to capture each date. Groups can also be removed by clicking the (C) X beside the line to be deleted.
