The Services Configuration screen allows Admin users to set up Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Sync Services, and Document Delivery Services (DDS). The OCR service allows users to search for the text of scanned documents in the Correspondence Log and responsive records. Additionally, it allows the Find and Redact feature in Document Management to be utilized. DDS bundles the responsive records, invoice, and determination letter as a package for delivery to the Requester, electronically via email or to be saved as a 508-complaint PDF.
Steps to Configure OCR, Sync and DDS Services
Click Administration > System Configuration > Services Configuration. The Services Configuration screen displays as shown below.
Provide the folder locations for OCR Service, Sync Service and Document Delivery Service in the fields described below.
Note: The document locations are configured by your IT Administrator based on the FOIAXpress Configuration Tool. Do not make any changes to these settings.

Download Document Location (shared path of AFXWDOFL) | This folder stores the downloadable request documents when the document delivery mode is selected as "Server Download". These documents will be further processed to PAL with the FOIAXpress Sync Service. |
PAL Reading Room Location (shared path of AFXWERR) | This folder stores documents published by FOIAXpress. These documents will be further processed to PAL with the FOIAXpress Sync Service. |

Click Save. A confirmation message displays
