The optional Technology Assisted Review (TAR) module in EDR measures document relevancy using user-guided training, helping to find relevant documents that may not be captured in containment clusters. In this section, we'll detail the TAR interface and how to create and tune custom TARs.
TAR Interface
An example TAR tab is shown below:
.png?sv=2022-11-02&spr=https&st=2026-03-10T11%3A09%3A23Z&se=2026-03-10T11%3A21%3A23Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=WXVaIORttBA5VuOcpjvmSZtgJfVOMPLUYa%2BN5f6pI%2FU%3D)
The primary areas on the interface are described below:
Ref | UI Component | Description |
|---|---|---|
A | Documents | Documents contained in the current TAR are listed here. Selecting items from this provides limited actions. Use the checkbox to select items from the list and click an action button above to take actions on the documents in the TAR. |
B | Filters & Search | Options to filter and search documents contained in the currently open TAR. See the Filters and Search subsection for details on the filter and search options. |
C | Actions | Select an action to take on documents selected from the Documents list. See the Actions subsection for details. |
Filters & Search
When a TAR is open, there are options to help filter and locate responsive records. The expanded Filters & Search options are shown below:

These options are described in the following table:
Option | Description |
|---|---|
Filters & Search | The current TAR Name is listed. The Training Completeness is also noted here. Training completeness is measured as a percentage of the total number of documents in the set. Adding more training docs from this set will improve this score. Select the Training Documents View checkbox to view only documents added to Training Documents from this set. |
Scores | Use the Relevancy Score field to filter only documents within a certain range in Relevancy Score. |
Review Status | Select one or more Review Status to filter by review status. |
Moved to DM Status | Select the Moved to DM status to filter documents that are Moved or Not Moved. |
Exclude Documents | Select these options to exclude Contained, Duplicates, or Blanks documents. |
Quick Search | Select to limit search results, or use the dropdown menu to quickly locate items in the TAR |
Precision-Recall Curve | This curve demonstrates the precision of the TAR, with an ideal measurement being a horizontal line at 1.0 |
Actions
Several actions are available within the TAR tab:
