The Data Model configuration allows the user to create a profile for the contact type by configuring the fields and field groups associated with it. Through this configuration, custom contact fields can be accessed and used within the contact type data model. Custom contact fields are created in the Admin Settings (Admin Settings > Custom Contact Fields):

The columns on this screen are described below:
Column | Description |
Field Name | The name of the field |
Field Type | See the Case Type Data Model section for a list of field types and descriptions |
Section Name | The field group section with which the field type is associated |
Is Required | Whether the field is required on the form |
Duplication Filter | Whether the field input is checked against other existing contacts to ensure uniqueness of input |
Form View Order | The order of the field within the section on the form |
