Follow the steps below to add an employee to your TimeXpress system.
In TimeXpress, navigate to Administration > Employee Management > Employees then select Add New Employee. Fields appear for capturing the new employee’s details, as shown below:

Fill in these fields to complete the employee’s profile. Mandatory fields are denoted with an asterisk (*). Each field is described in the following table:
Field | Description |
Is Contract Employee? | Enable the checkbox if the employee is in contract with the organization. |
Organization Name | The name of the organization. |
Employee ID | Employee Unique Identity Number (mandatory). |
Designation | The job position of the employee. |
First Name | Employee first name. |
Middle Name | Employee middle name. |
Last Name | Employee last name. |
The email address the employee has been assigned so that they can send and receive notifications and messages from the designated e-mail inbox (mandatory). | |
Login | Login ID to be used to access TimeXpress. |
Domain | Domain name. |
Office Phone | Employee office phone number. |
Mobile | Employee mobile number. |
Select Contracts to Assign | Click the Ellipse button to select contracts to assign to the new user. |
Delegate Approver | Use the dropdown list to have this employee’s timesheet Reviewed by the selected delegated approver. |
Allowed Contracts | Click the Ellipse button to select Allowed Contracts for this user. |
Eligibility for Availability Pay | Select this checkbox to mark the user as eligible for availability pay. |
Send Email | Select this checkbox to send the employee notification that their account was created to the email address provided. |
Active | Select the Active checkbox to make the employee account active in the system. |
Approver | Use the dropdown to select an Approver for this employee’s timesheets. |
Is Approver | Select this checkbox to enable this user to be selected as an approver for other user timesheets. |
Backup Approver | Optionally, select a backup approver for this employee’s timesheets. |
Is Administrator | Select this checkbox to provide the employee with administrative privileges. |
Is Required to Submit Timesheet | Select this checkbox if the user is required to submit a timesheet. |
Click Save to save the employee’s information. The employee is added to the Employee list. If marked as Active, the employee will be able to log in to TimeXpress.
