Edit Employee

Follow the steps below to edit an existing employee’s profile.

  1. In TimeXpress, navigate to Administration > Employee Management > Employees. The Employees interface appears as shown below:

  1. Use the search and filter options to locate the employee you’d like to edit, then select that employee from the list. The employee’s details appear in the Edit Employee field as shown below:

  1. Edit the details as needed. Note that some details (including the Login and Domain) cannot be edited after the employee is created. When complete, click Save to save these settings.

  2. Additional configuration options are available. Next, click the Settings button, as shown below.

  1. After clicking Settings, that user’s General Settings appear as shown below:

  1. Use these fields to configure the general settings for the selected TX user. First, the Override Employee settings with Global settings checkbox can be selected, which will override the employee General Settings (the settings on this screen) with the configuration made under Administration > General Settings.

  2. The first set of options are the Pay Period Options. The options are described in the following table:

Show Holidays in color

Show Leaves in color

Show total hours in color

Show Timesheet Shading in color

Click the color pallet http://192.168.3.201/TimeXpress/Help/WebHelp/Images/Color_pallet_4.JPG pop down to configure the color used for shading on the timesheet.

Display options for contracts, subtasks, and sub subtasks

Select the display options for Contracts, Subtasks and Sub Subtasks from the drop down to display the contracts at the timesheet by Code or Name or the Code followed by the Name.

Display last selected Pay Period details

Displays the last selected timesheet details on the new employee timesheet.

Auto load Holidays on Pay Periods

Displays the Holidays automatically at the employee’s personnel timesheet.

Auto load Leaves on Pay Periods

Displays the Leaves automatically at the employee’s personnel timesheet.

Allow Hour Entries on Non Working Days

Select to enable allowing hour entry on non-working days (weekends, holidays).

  1. Next there are options to configure Pay Period Validate Options. These are described below:

Total daily hours not less than

Sets the total daily hours not to be less than the entered number of hours.

Total daily hours should not exceed

Sets the total daily hours not to exceed the entered number of hours.

Total timesheet hours not less than

Sets the total timesheet hours not to be less than the entered number of hours.

Total timesheet hours should not exceed

Sets the total timesheet hours not to exceed the entered number of hours.

  1. When all options are configured, click Save to save any changes, then click Back to Previous Window to return to the General Settings screen.

  2. Click Back to Previous Window to return to the Employees interface.
