The Attachment Properties configuration allows the user to adjust additional properties for attachments. The Configure properties for an attachment screen appears as shown below:

There are checkboxes for Enable Custom Properties and Attachment List Views. Each is described in the following subsections.
Enable Custom Properties
Attachment property values are tracked with each attachment in a case folder. The required attachment properties should be defined as repeating fields in the group, so the first step is to create a repeating field group with all required repeating fields for the case type attachments (see the Create a Repeating Field Group section for information on how to create a repeating field group).
In this repeating group, fields with internal names as file_guid: Text Single line, file_name: Text Single line are required to be created along with additional required fields.
NOTE: Enabling Custom Properties will cause a new setting to appear in the Case Types Setting, called Filing Structures (see section 3.3.5: Filing Structures for more information).
Here is a repeating group with all the required fields necessary in order to Enable Custom Properties

There are three Lookup Dropdown fields: Document Status, Document Type, and Sub Document Type. These Lookup Dropdown fields are linked to Choice Lists that have information on the respective field. Let’s take a look at the Document Type Choice List in the eCASE Administrator Settings > Choice Lists:

Here, we have all the possible Document Types for this application (see the Filing Structures section for more information).
Once the repeating group is created, proceed with configuring the custom properties for the attachments:

These fields are described below:
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Select Repeating Group | Select the repeating group that has all the required fields for the case type attachments |
Form Template | Select a form template to use with the repeating group |
File ID Field | Select the repeating field for the File ID (typically referred to as File Guid) |
File Name Group | Select the repeating field for the File Name |
Search Enabled Columns | Select columns to enable for search. Columns under Selected Columns are search enabled |
Attachment List View
When Attachment List View is enabled, you can select the columns that will be visible and their order in the Attachments tab of the case folder:

A sample case folder is shown below, open to the Attachments tab, with the various columns visible:
