The Case Features configuration determines what functionalities are available in the case folders, as well as the tabs that are visible in all case folders. There are two sections: General and Tabs and Toolbar

General

General settings enable various functionalities for the case type

Field	Description
Show Parent Folder	When enabled, displays the parent folders of child folders
Link Folders	When enabled, allows users to link two or more folders of this case type to each other
FYI Copies	When enabled, allows users to create “read only” copies of a case folder
Allow edit the Closed/Aborted Folders	Folders can have a number of different statuses; Closed folders have completed the entire workflow, and Aborted folders are folders that were aborted prior to the completion of the workflow. Enable this option to allow for changes to be made to Closed or Aborted folders
Create only Sub-Folders of this case type	Case types with this setting does not allow users to create case folder without a parent folder. They are not available in left navigation menu to create new folder. These type of case folders should be created from the parent folder.
Show new navigation link	Shows a link for this specific case type under the Left Navigation Panel in the eCASE application. When this option is enabled, a dropdown menu appears, where the app developer can select the Left Navigation section in which the navigation link for this case type will appear.
Concurrency Control	Select a concurrency control setting based on the type of concurrency control required for case folders when multiple users are simultaneously editing the same case folder at same time. It does not allow any user to submit updates with outdated information at case level or case item level. It checks the last modified date on case folder or case item to ensure no one changed before submitting the update. · None: No concurrency control required. This option may be valid when multiple users do not generally work on same case folder · Case Level: It enforces optimistic concurrency control on case folder with case level modified date · Record Level: It enforces optimistic concurrency control on case items with record level modified date · Case and Record Level: It enforces optimistic concurrency control on case folder and case items with case level and record level modified dates · Explicit: It enforces pessimistic concurrency control, where a user locks the folder so other users cannot edit the folder until changes are submitted.

Tabs and Toolbar

These settings enable various tabs and toolbar items in each case folder

Journal Entry Tab	When enabled, adds a Journal Entry tab to the case folder. This feature allows users to add Journal Entries/comments to folders of this case type · Enable attachments in Journal Entry: allows users to add attachments to their journal entries/comments · Is Journal Entry required while making assignment: when enabled, users must create a journal entry when creating an assignment
Create Sub Folders Menu	When enabled, this feature allows users to add folders to the case folder o Select Sub Folders Type: select the case type for the sub-folder that will be added to the case folder o Allow creating Sub – Folders on closed Folders: when enabled, the user can create sub-folders within closed folders
Project Team Tab	When enabled, adds a Project Team tab to the case folder
Discussions Menu	When enabled, adds a Discussions menu to the case folder. This feature allows for forum-like discussions to be conducted within a case folder (posts and replies)
