About Case Actions

The Case Actions configuration allows you to add and customize case actions, which are accessible within the case folder.

Case Types that have standard workflows enabled may use Case Actions. Case Actions trigger the completion of one workflow activity and trigger the next configured workflow activity. The outgoing conditions defined in the workflow designer, based on the Events are connected with Case Actions. The Case Action initiated from the UI form become the Event in Workflow to trigger the next activity. In the form, the reserved field “action_verb” can be set with rules or on click of a button to be considered a Case Action when the form is submitted.

Configure Case Actions Screen

The following actions are available on this screen:

Create a new case action:

·        Case Type: The current case type; this field is auto-populated based on your current case type, and cannot be edited

·        Action Verb: The name of the case action

·        Form Template: Select an action form template to use for this case action

·        Show in Actions Menu: Enable to show the action in the case folder actions menu

·        Action Menu Verb: The name of the action as it will display in the case folders actions menu

Permissions

Grants users/groups permission to the case action
