Contact Custom Fields

Contact Custom Fields allows you to capture additional contact information fields for contact types within eCASE. Contact custom fields can be added to Contact Types data model in App Designer.

Navigate to Settings > Application Management > Contact Custom Fields. Here you can view all the Contact Custom Fields previously created.

Creating a Contact Custom Field

1.      Navigate to Settings > Application Management > Contact Custom Fields > New. You will need to enter the following information:

Form fields for entering contact information, including name and field type selection.

2.      Provide details and click Save.

Editing Contact Custom Field

1.      Go to Settings > Application Management > Contact Custom Fields.

2.      Select a custom field and then select Edit to open the Custom Field screen.

3.      The Custom Field screen appears. In the Custom Field screen, if the selected field is not a core field, you can edit all fields except the Internal Name and Data Type. If the Custom Field is a Core Field, then the Field Type, Internal Name, and Data Type cannot be edited, but all other fields can be edited.

4.      Click Save to save the information for the custom field and click Close to exit.

Deleting Custom Field

1.      Go to Settings > Application Management > Contact Custom Fields.

2.      Select the Custom Field and select Delete from the tool bar. The following message displays:

3.      Click OK to delete the selected custom field.
