Users with the required Permissions can create a Requester Custom Field.
Create a Requester Custom Field
Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays as shown below.

Select the Custom Field Group you want to create a Custom Field for, then click Fields. The Requester Custom Field screen displays as shown below.

Click New. The New Requester Custom Field screen displays as shown below.

Enter information in the fields described below per your agency's requirements.
Field | Description |
Name | The name of the Requester Custom Field. |
Type | The type of field you want to create as defined below:

Length | The maximum number of characters/numerals allowed for the field. |
Display Width | The maximum size (in pixels) of the field from one side to the other, as displayed on the Request Custom Field screen. |
Enabled | When selected, activates the field for use. |
Required | When selected, makes the field mandatory for input. |
Show in PAL (Public Access Link) | When selected, enables the Custom Field to appear in PAL. This option will be available in your configuration if PAL was purchased. |
Click Save. A verification message displays as shown below.

Click OK.
Create Requester Custom Fields Using List Options
Users with the required Permissions can provide values for the List Option field type when creating a Requester Custom Field for a Custom Field Group.
NOTE: The instructions below require the user to be in the process of creating a custom List Option field for a Custom Field Group. List Options can also be configured under Administration > Lookups > List Options.
Select the Custom Field Group for which to create Requester Custom Fields, then click Fields.
Click New. The New Request Custom Field screen displays as shown below.

Click the Type drop-down menu and select List Option-Single.
Next to List Options, click the icon. The Custom List Options window displays as shown below.

Click New. The New Custom List Option window displays as shown below

Enter information in the fields described below as necessary.
Field | Description |
Name | The name of the new Custom List Option. |
Type | This field is automatically disabled and populated with the Custom Field Type. |
List Type | The type of list you want to create as defined below:

Enabled | When selected, activates the list for use. |
Show in PAL (Public Access Link) | When selected, enables the Custom List Option to appear in PAL. This option will be available in your configuration if PAL was purchased. |
Click Save. A verification message displays as shown below.

Click OK to save the Custom List Option. The newly created Custom List Option displays on the Custom List Options window as shown below.

Select the Custom List Option to add values to, then click List Values. The Custom List Values window displays as shown below.

Click New. The New Custom List Value window displays as shown below.

Enter information in the fields described below as necessary.
Field | Description |
Name | The name of the new Custom List Value. |
Default | When selected, sets the List Value as the default. |
Enabled | When selected, activates the List Value for use. |
Show in PAL (Public Access Link) | When selected, enables the custom List Value to appear in PAL. This option will be available in your configuration if PAL was purchased. |
Click Save. A verification message displays as shown below.

Click OK. The newly created Custom List Value displays on the Custom List Values window as shown below.

Click Back. The Custom List Options window displays as shown below.

Repeat step 4 for each value you want to add to the Custom List Options window.
Select the newly created Custom List Option if not already selected, then click Select. The name of the newly created Custom List Option will be populated in the List Options field as shown below

Enter information as necessary in the available fields.
NOTE: A description of the available fields can be found under step 4 of the Steps to Create a Custom Field section above.
Click Save. A verification message displays as shown below.

Click OK. The new Request Custom Field displays on the Request Custom Fields screen.
Edit Requester Custom Field
After creating a Custom Field Group, users with the required Permissions can edit Custom Field Details. Follow the steps below to edit a Requester Custom Field:
Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays.
Select the Custom Field Group containing the Custom Field to edit. The first Custom Field Group will be selected by default.
Click Fields. The Requester Custom Fields screen displays.
Select the Custom Field you want to edit. The first Custom Field is selected by default.
Click Edit. The Edit screen displays for the selected Custom Field.
Edit the fields as necessary. These are described in the previous section
Click Save. A verification message displays.
Click OK.
Delete Requester Custom Field
Users with the required Permissions can delete a Custom Field if it is no longer needed. Custom Fields cannot be removed if associated with an open Request. In such instances, the Custom Field can be inactivated to prevent further use.
Follow the steps below to delete a Requester Custom Field:
Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays.
Select the Custom Group containing the Custom Field to delete. The first Custom Group is selected by default.
Click Fields. The Requester Custom Fields screen displays.
Select the Custom Field to delete, then click Delete.
A verification message displays. Click OK.
