Requester Custom Field Groups

Users with the required Permissions can create Custom Field Groups, and Custom Fields within each group. You can do this for every custom field type on your system. This provides an extensive capability to incorporate and organize special information and data according to your specific needs. Before creating Custom Fields, you need to create their Custom Field Group.

Create a New Requester Custom Field Group

  1. Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays as shown below.

  1. Click New. The New Requester Custom Field Group screen displays as shown below.

  1. Enter information in the fields described below per your agency's requirements.

Field

Description

Name

The name of the Custom Field Group.

Inactive

When selected, the Custom Field Group will not be available when creating/editing a Request.

Show in PAL (Public Access Link)

When selected, enables the Custom Field Group to appear in PAL. This option will be available in your configuration if PAL was purchased.

  1. Click Save to save the Custom Field Group. A verification message displays as shown below.

  1. Click OK.

Edit Request Custom Fields Group

After creating the Custom Field Group, users with the required Permissions can edit Custom Field Group Details.

Follow the steps below to edit a Requester Custom Field Group:

  1. Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays.

  2. Select the Custom Field Group you want to edit. The first Requester Custom Field Group is selected by default.

  3. Click Edit. The Edit screen displays for the selected Requester Custom Field Group.

  4. Edit the fields as necessary.

  5. Click Save. A verification message displays.

  6. Click OK.

Delete Requester Custom Field Group

Users with the required Permissions can delete a Custom Field Group if it is no longer needed. Custom Field Groups cannot be removed if associated with an open Request or Custom Fields. In such instances, the Custom Field Group can be inactivated to prevent further use.

Follow the steps below to delete a Requester Custom Field Group:

  1. Click Administration > Request Management > Requester Custom Fields. The Requester Custom Field Groups screen displays.

  2. Select the Custom Field Group to delete. The first Custom Field Group is selected by default.

  3. Click Delete. A verification message displays.

  4. Click OK.
