Find and Replace Redaction Codes

Document Management provides the option to replace redaction codes already applied to pages. These can be done on a single page or multiple pages, and codes can be directly replaced, or simply removed.

Follow the steps below to use the Find and Replace Redaction Codes feature.

  1. Navigate to a Document Management folder containing redacted documents. Documents must already have existing redactions to find and replace redaction codes.

  2. Select the page(s) containing the redactions to be replaced. Be sure to load to review layer containing the redactions you'd like to replace.

  3. Right click the page(s) in the navigation pane, then click Find and Replace Redaction Code:

  4. The Replace Redaction Codes interface appears as shown below:

  5. Select a Page Range (either All Pages, the current Selection, or a Page List.)

  6. Under Find and Replace Redaction Code, first locate the redaction code to be replaced under the Find What field. Click the Lookup button to open the Select Redaction Code screen:

  7. Select a redaction code to be replaced, then click Select.

  8. Under Replace With, use the Lookup button to open the Select Redaction Code screen. Select a redaction code to replace the code selected in the previous step, then click Select.

  9. A pop up message appears warning that this action will modify the existing review later. Click OK to continue.

  10. The Job Progress window appears as the job processes. When the Job Status is Completed, click Close Window.

  11. The Document Management workspace refreshes, and the redaction code is replaced with the new selection.
