Create a PAL Reading Room Custom Field
Click Administration > Document Management > PAL Reading Room Custom Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Field Groups screen displays as shown below.
Select a Custom Field Group for which you want to create a Custom Field.
Click Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Fields screen displays as shown below
Click New. The New PAL Reading Room Custom Field screen displays as shown below.
Enter information in the fields described below per your agency's requirements.
Field | Description |

Name | The name of the Custom Field. |
Type | The type of Custom Field. |
Length | The length of the Custom Field, where the maximum character length allowed is 50. |
Display Width | The display width up to 200 Pixels. |
Enabled | When selected, enables the Custom Field. |
Required | When selected, makes the Custom Field a required field. |
Show in PAL (Public Access Link) | When selected, displays the Custom Field in PAL. |
Click Save. A verification message displays as shown below.
7. Click OK.
Edit PAL Reading Room Custom Field
Follow the steps below to edit a PAL Reading Room Custom Field:
Click Administration > Document Management > PAL Reading Room Custom Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Field Groups screen displays
Select the Custom Field Group containing the Custom Field you want to edit.
Click Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Fields screen displays
Select the Custom Field you want to edit, then click Edit. The Edit PAL Reading Room Custom Field screen displays for the selected Custom Fiel
Enter information in the fields as needed. These are described under the section above
Click Save. A verification message displays
Click OK
Delete PAL Reading Room Custom Field
Follow the steps below to Delete a PAL Reading Room Custom Field:
Click Administration > Document Management > PAL Reading Room Custom Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Field Groups screen displays
Select the Custom Field Group containing the Custom Field you want to delete, then click Fields. The PAL Reading Room Custom Fields screen displays
Select the Custom Field you want to delete. The first Custom Field will be selected by default
Click Delete. A verification message displays
Click OK
