ATIPXpress Document Management's search capability allows you to perform quick searches on content and custom fields, or on custom fields only. Users can find folder(s) that meet certain criteria by searching through General or Request information, or by performing a full-text search through the content of all documents.
NOTE: Users can also find Folders by searching Folder Declassification Information and Review Layer Declassification Information, if the Declassification module is included in the installation.
Steps to Search for Folders from File Cabinet
Click Document Management > Search Folders. The Document Management: Search Folders screen displays as shown below.

Enter search criteria in the following fields as needed:

Folder Name | Name of the Request Folder. |
Include Sections | Select the Include Sections check box to also search for Sections with the provided name |
Full Text Search | Search for a particular "item" in the main text of a document, whether that item is a single word, phrase, or a combination of characters. |
File Cabinet Drawer | File Cabinet Drawer(s) containing the Folders you are searching for. |
Added To | Folders that were added to the Review Log, Request Folder or Reading Room. |
Created Date | Date the Folder was created or click the calendar icon and select a date. |
Created By | The user who created the Folder |
Action Office | The Action Office associated with the Request. To select an Action Office, click the arrow under Select, select an Action Office, and then click Select. The default Action Office configured under Administration > Organization Setup > Action Offices is automatically populated in this field. |
Folder GUID | The Folder GUID # for the Folder you are searching for. |
Click Search. A list of Folders matching the search criteria displays as shown below.

Select folder(s) using the adjacecent checkbox(es), then click Open Folders to open to selected folder(s) in DM. You can also click Document History Report to view the Document History Report for the selected folder(s).
NOTE: Click Search without entering search criteria to retrieve a list of all Request Folders associated with the selected Action Office. Click Clear to remove contents in the search fields.
