The Search Scopes configuration allows the user to customize the search scopes used in the Quick Search menu in the application. Search scopes allow you to add frequently used search parameters to the quick search menu. By default the system includes Search Documents and Contacts, which can be deleted.
Search Scopes are shown in the sample screen below:

To access Search Scopes configuration, navigate to the App Designer (Settings > Applications > App Designer), then click the Search Scopes option (under User Interface). The Add and edit search scopes screen is shown below:

There are three scope types available to create:
Scope | Description |
|---|---|
Folder | Narrow down search results to only folders, or folders under a specific case type |
Contact | Narrow down search results to system contacts |
Document | Narrow down search results to documents |
