You can use the Review Objects, described below, to redact Pages in a Folder or Section. The table below describes the available Review Objects.
(!!) Note: Some Review Objects can be configured under Review Object Preferences.
Review Object | Icon | Description |
No Review Tool |
| Exit the current redaction tool in use and return control to the computer pointing device (such as the computer mouse pointer). You can right-click a Review Object on the document with this tool to open a shortcut menu with commands for modifying the object. |
Redact |
| Redact document content by drawing rectangular shapes over the content. After redacting the content, the application will prompt you to select a Redaction Code to associate with the redaction. |
Polygon Redact |
| Redact document content by drawing over the content in a free-form manner. After redacting the content, the application will prompt you to select a Redaction Code to associate with the redaction. |
Stamp |
| Mark documents with various predefined and/or custom stamps that you create. (!!) Notes: Stamps are configured under Administration > Lookups > Stamp/Watermark, and default Stamp settings can be configured in Review Object Preferences. When you click the Right click the User Stamp and select Font to edit the User Stamp font and text size. Default is Arial, 20pt. |
Dynamic Stamp |
| Mark documents with predefined stamps that include fields. These fields can be inserted into the stamp and populated with request data. (!!) Note: Dynamic Stamps are configured under Administration > Lookups > Stamp/Watermark |
Highlight |
| Highlights specific areas of the document. |
Comments |
| Add comments to a document. You can save the Comments that you have provided or cancel them if you do not want them in your review. |
Sticky Notes |
| Add comments to the document in the form of sticky notes. Sticky Notes differ from Comments in that Sticky Notes are intended for internal use and are not normally displayed on the "final" or "printed" version of the redacted document. You can save the Sticky Notes that you have provided or cancel them if you do not want them in your review. |
Straight Line |
| Draw a straight line on the document. |
Ellipse |
| Draw an ellipse shape over content to redact it. After redacting the content, the application will prompt you to select a redaction code to associate with the redaction. |
Rotate Left |
| Rotate the document image to the left in small increments. |
Rotate Right |
| Rotate the document image to the right in small increments. |
Flip Horizontal |
| Flip the document image horizontally. |
Flip Vertical |
| Flip the document image vertically. |
Rotate 180 |
| Rotate the document image to the right in 180-degree increments. |
Deskew |
| Adjust the position of a skewed (tilted) document image. |
Undo Deskew |
| Cancel the adjustment or positioning of a skewed (tilted) document image that was adjusted by the Deskew Review Object. |
(!!) Notes:
Right-clicking on an object will display an object-specific menu for changing the default properties.
The default Fill Mode for Review Objects is Opaque. To view the redacted text in the background, change the Fill Mode to either Transparent or Translucent. This is useful when viewing objects from multiple layers on a Page.
To draw a redaction using double-click, enable the option under Preferences > Document > Draw Redaction Using Double Click.

icon on the Document Management toolbar after redacting a document, the Save To Disk window displays. At the bottom of this window is an option to Insert watermark into the document. Though the USER STAMP watermark appears as an option, it CANNOT be inserted into a document.
