Archive or Purge Data

You can create your Archival/Purge Policies using the Archive/Purge Data options. Through this you can define how often you want to do these operations, where you would like to transfer the purged data, etc.

Archive – Purge Data Job Creation

To create an Archive/Purge Data job, navigate to Settings > System Configuration > Archive/Purge Data.

Create New Archive Job

To create a new Archive Job, select Job Type: Archive, fill other appropriate fields and Save. Archive databases can be created and configured in Settings > Manage Databases. A new Archive Job is added to Scheduler queue.

Create New Restore Job

To create a new Restore Job, select Job Type: Restore, fill other appropriate fields and Save. The Restore Database should be set to an archive database, which can be created and configured through Settings > Manage Databases. A new Restore Job is added to Scheduler queue.

Create New Purge Job

To create a new Purge Job, select Job Type: Purge, fill other appropriate fields and Save. Archive and Purge databases can be created and configured in Settings > Manage Databases. A new Purge Job is added to the Scheduler queue.

NOTE: The ā€œDelete After*ā€ folders will be permanently deleted from the System (Purge DB) after X days from the date of Purge Completion.

Undo Purge Job

To create a new Undo Purge Job, select Job Type: Undo Purge, fill other appropriate fields and Save. Archive and Purge databases can be created and configured in Settings > Manage Databases. A new Undo Purge Job is added to Scheduler queue.

NOTE: All the folders in the ā€œPurged Foldersā€ search criteria will be moved from ā€œMy Purge Database Nameā€ to ā€œMy Archived Database Name.ā€

Job Cancellation

When you click the Cancel button during a job, the application stops, does not move the rest of the data, and is marked as ā€œTerminated.ā€

NOTE: Job Cancellation can only be performed on jobs running.

Archive – Purge Data Job Deletion

Click the red X button to delete the job before or after it is completed.

NOTE: Once a job begins running it can no longer be deleted.

Accessing Archived - Purge Data Folders

To view the Archived and Purged Folders, go to Search Folders. You may use the search criteria created earlier or you may select the desired database and input other information in the Folder Search fields.
