Billing Reports display information related to fees charged for Request processing.
The following Billing Reports are available:
Request - Processed Cost - Fees Report
These reports can be accessed from the Billing Reports menu, as shown below.
Generate a Report as a Background Job
FOIAXpress now generates Billing Reports through a background job rather than within your active session. This keeps the application responsive while large reports, such as those spanning multiple years, are processed. After you set the report criteria, you select an output format, select whether to run the report immediately or schedule it for a later time, and then track its progress from the Jobs window. The steps below apply to all Billing Reports.
1. Click Reports > Billing Reports, and then click the report you want to generate. Set the report criteria as described for that report.
2. Click Generate in Background. The following window displays.
3. From the Report Format options, select the output format for the report (for example, Word, Excel, CSV, or HTML).
4. Select when to run the report:
Now – Submits the report for immediate processing as a background job.
Later – Lets you select a future date and time at which the report will run. The report is submitted automatically at the scheduled time.
5. Click Export to submit the report.
6. To monitor the report, go to the Jobs window from All Jobs. The report appears as a job with one of the following statuses: Queued (submitted and waiting to be processed), Running (currently being generated), Completed (finished and available to download), or Failed (could not be generated – re-submit the report or contact your administrator).
7. When the job status is Completed, click Download to download the generated report in the format you selected.
NOTE: Billing Reports cannot be customized. A Billing Report can be generated for a specific time period, such as for a month, year, or year to date. Only the generation method has changed: reports are now produced as a background job rather than within your active session.
